The Mesa Boogie Subway TT-800 Lightweight 800W Bass Head celebrates Mesa’s half-century of building custom amps, returning to Randall Smith’s original Bass 400 tube design, refining it and blending it with Mesa’s beloved Subway preamp and Class D output section to create an amazing 2-channel bass amp that can take you from home to the studio to the club to the arena.
Featuring two ultra-versatile channels and a valve-powered preamp stage, the TT-800 covers a lot of sonic territory and delivers the unmistakable feel and rich harmonic content that only tubes can provide. With a portable design making it incredibly practical, the TT-800 can also be configured in multiple ways thanks to its abundance of connections.
Two channels feed the Mesa Boogie Subway TT-800's muscular and articulate 800-watt Class D power section - creating the ideal foundation from which to build the ultimate bass tone.
Channel 1 (Boogie) is based on Mesa's iconic Bass 400 amplifier that's perfect for rock!
Channel 2 (Subway) is voiced to produce a more modern tone by tightening the bottom-end and accentuating the highs - perfect for slap playing and articulate lines.
Each channel features its own dedicated effects loop.
With independent 4-band EQ sections, you can shape each channel to sound completely different - essentially giving you two bass amps in one.
The 'Tri-Tube Topology' section features switches that influence the overall sound of the amp. The 'Deep' and 'Bright' switches introduce extra low-end and treble bite respectively, while the 'High/Low Gain' switch affects the input sensitivity - so you can compensate for low or high-output pickups.
